Raw with emotion... this book will move you. I am giving a 4 star because I became exasperated with the characters during the course of the story... there are times when I felt the story could have moved along just a little faster. My opinion. Just know this is an excellent book. You will not be able to just walk away from this story. After you finish this book, you will definitely want to read Ricochet and Addicted for Now in order to find out what happens next to these two lovers. Both these sequels are amazing and I have rated them 5 stars. The story continues and only gets better and better.

I absolutely loved this book!!! it was an incredible story, and it was completely different from everything I've ever read before. I don't understand why it hasn't gotten much attention, because it is simply amazing!!!

I usually dislike series because I think authors just like dragging the stories to make and sell more books. But with this one I have to say that it was incredible, and it makes perfect sense for it to be a series, because there is just so much going on with the characters, that it would've been impossible for the story to be just one book.

Another thing I loved about this book are the secondary characters, everyones stories are amazing, and I cant wait to read the rest of the series and the spinoffs as well!!!

I had been longing for a book to truly grip me, I have finally found one of my favorite series!!!

Wow. Could not put it down! Definitely going to read more of this author. And hoping there's a second book for the story can continue.

This book is about addiction, love, friendships, family and life. Two addicts, best friends claim to be a couple so they can keep enjoying their lives as addicts, only to complicate and question everything. Their love as friends kept me hoping for more. I grew to love these two and kept praying for them to get help with their addictions. As a recovering addict myself, I related a lot. What a great novel....leaves you hoping for more!

A compelling story of two wealthy college students with compulsive desires, who pretend to have a serious relationship to hide their weaknesses. Both struggle with families they try to avoid to enable each other in support of their habits.

As you read on you feel compassion and patiently wait for someone to see through their lies and offer help. A must read to learn and understand what drives anyone to an addiction and if they overcome it in time, or if they bottom out?

Addictions. Not what we expect they might be, and they differ for everyone.

Lily & Lo have addictions. One is each other, but this enables their own addictions. Follow their dark story of enabling each other, loving one another and their raw emotions. This isn't your typical love story, this is dark. Black as night dark. I ached when Lily did, I got buzzed when Lo did. I cried with them, against them, for them, for the angst within me due to the story. This is for the brave reader, because if not a love story .... what is addiction?

This was really well done. Unique romance about 2 very damaged characters. I was expecting it to be extremely graphic, but considering the subject matter it was relatively tame.

The only complaint I have is that Ryke's introduction to the story line was extremely awkward. If I was Lily or Lo I would have been like "GTFO of here, you creeper." It was super weird how he just started hanging around because "he wants to help." The entire book I was convinced that he was some kind of ax murderer.

I read this book after one of my favorite bloggers was ranting and raving about it and I'm so happy I did! It's such a different story about Lily a sex addicted and Loren (aka Lo) an alcoholic! Sounds like a destruction waiting to happen, right? It's a most def page turner, takes you beyond of what you expect and keeps you on your toes.

If you literally want to be "addicted" and lose sleep like I did (lol) then don't hesitate to read Addicted to You. I was so happy the other books were out when I started because I literally could not get enough!

One of the most heartwarming and intense story I've ever read. You MUST read them in the order that's recommended. Right now I'm on Book 7 of 9. Each character in this series has their own personality which makes this such a wonderful story. ENJOY it as much as I have. There has to be some "explicit" sexual content to understand this one...LOVE IT.

This was far more realistic than most of the books I read. She's a serious sex addict, he's an alcoholic. They enable and cover for each other in every possible way. This book hit home for me, as there is no easy way to properly love an alcoholic.. And you can't fix them. There were errors, and this book could use some editing, but I enjoyed it.

The book was about addiction to sex and alcohol. It was a crazy ride taken between two characters and their struggle to love with their addiction. The book started to piss me off when they made a deal to try to stop but the girl wasn't keeping to her word. I know it's an obsession thing, but that's all she cared about. At some point u wondered if she even loved him or if it was just lust. The second one takes you thru her journey but I'll let you read that one . Other than that, it was good. A lot of sex and thoughts but yeah.

On a recommendation I read this book. The story consumed me and had me hanging on every word. The story of Lily and Lo, best friends and both addicts, hers to sex, his to alcohol. I never really considered the seriousness of sex addiction and as this story is told from Lily's perspective, I was heartbroken by her compulsions and desires. I am assuming her addiction was accurately researched and I was feeling for her. Lo's alcohol addiction was equally gutting. The two of them together was beautiful and you can feel the genuine affection and love between the two. Rich and privileged they have been faking a relationship to the real world and their families to hide their addictions. I just wanted these two to get professional help.

Such a touchy subject, addiction. It has way way too many people in its grips. We can all probably think of something that we might be a little (or a lot) addicted to. This was a great book and I had a hard time putting it down. I really felt like I was living through Lily and Loren. I loved and hated the ending because I want to know what ultimately happens to them.

A wonderfully unexpected treasure of a series. The leads are anti-heros in many ways, but also a few of the most endearing characters in other ways. Be patient when starting to read the book....they are tough to warm up to, but you so will. I also love Connor Cobalt as a standout amongst awesome supporting characters.

It is a bit of a guilty pleasure read, and far from many of the cliche "rich kid" YA series. I dove right into this series & am grateful for the unexpected find.

Many people go through life keeping skeletons in their closets unaware of the bad directions and decisions they make due to this. I think parents have an obligation to reveal the lineage to their children whether it is positive or negative. Children are a blessing, a gift; they are innocent beings caught in a web of deceit. Sometimes a form of addiction is the way of coping.

I absolutely loved reading this book. I am NOT an avid reader. The last time I picked up a book was by force of an English teacher in high school, and I'm 29 now. To be honest, Im not even sure how I came across this or ended up in any book, but I am ABSOLUTELY going to continue this series. I loved every moment of reading this. I could feel the emotions, the tensions, and every last breath of each person. Absolutely stimulating each of my senses. WONDERFUL read!

Lily and Lo, two addicts with different poisons, will absolutely break your heart. These two characters are so well-developed that you feel like you should jump into their world to save them both. I had to stop reading in the middle of the book to deal with real life, but couldn't get them out of my head. The subject of addiction is treated with compassion, but the reality of it is not glossed over at all. If you've ever dealt with addiction or with an addict, you know what I mean.

Gripping friends-to-lovers NA about two people who enable each other's addictions. Loren Hale is an alcoholic, and Lily Calloway is a sex addict. ADDICTED TO YOU is told from Lily's POV and goes into the gritty, dark depths of how easy it is to recognize a problem and how hard it is to admit the problem needs to be cared for.

Real. Provocative. Genuine. Refreshing. Intense. Life-Altering.

This story stirred mix emotions in me. It openly discussed real life issues that haunt some people in their day to day lives. At first, it made my skin cringed of what Lily and Loren were going through. I couldn't imagine how difficult and torturous their life is. Anyone would think that they have an easy life. I mean, who wouldn't? They belong to a rich family, known in the social circle, live vicariously, can do whatever they want, and basically everything rich kids do nowadays. But deep inside, they're harboring dark secrets. Even at their young age, they're hiding something dark and unacceptable to society's norms....addiction! Lily and Lo are both addicts - sex and alcohol. OH.EM.GEE! Even saying those words make my skin crawl. But I don't despise them and I don't have the right to judge who and what they are. And after reading this book, I get to know more about them. I may not advocate the lying and denial but I totally empathized with their struggle. Their struggle to change for the better and correct all their mistakes.

This isn't a typical love story. Lil and Lol's story are unconventional. They are living together, in a mutual relationship where everyone gets what they crave most. But as I read further into the story, I was able to understand the depth of their relationship, how tight their bond is, how solid their friendship is, how intense their addiction is and how hard they continue to struggle and fight off that addiction to have a normal and functional relationship. This story broke me a lot of times. I've felt the pain and suffering of Loren and Lily. They've gone through a lot of difficulties...as in a lot. And I just hope that in the end of all this torment, they would finally find peace and love they equally deserve.

Krista Ritchie has written a realistic tale about addiction and everything that goes down with it. It's painful to accept but it really happens in real life. I haven't met somebody like Lily and Loren so I don't have any idea what exactly people like them suffer everyday, but after reading this book, it basically opened my eyes and my mind to it. I loved everything about this book. The writing was impeccable, concept was well thought of and the side characters really added depth into the story. I just have to say that I really, really loved Rose and Connor. Their banters were pretty hilarious and despite their cold exterior, I know there's something wonderful and sweet lying behind it. Can't wait to read more about them. And Ryke? Wow, this guy rocked my world. He's really, really something. And the sudden revelation at the last few chapters of the book? I may have guessed it at first but to finally read it, I was still surprised.

Lily and Loren are two characters that I can't help but fall in love with. Yes, they're flawed but the fact that they remained loyal to each other and really struggled to keep their promises to each other, really made me admire them more. I just want them to have their HEA for real and for me to find out if that happens, I have to read the next book in the series.

Need I say more? This book is phenomenal.

I am giving this 5 stars because 10 wasnt available. This is a story of two people with addictions. Something that is REAL and how it effects one another and those around them. SPOILER....Tears are expected towards them ending of this book. I like that this author picked to issues that 1 plagues our country and 1 that goes unheard. I love the way these characters turn to one another for help BUT for all the wrong reasons. This is a must read. Keep an open mind.

I cannot respect the characters. Why would I want to read about two selfish liars with all that baggage? Who would want to get involved with either character? Nope. One chapter in and I knew I didn't want to waste my time reading this.

Reading Addicted to You was like riding a roller coaster I had never been on before; it was a lot of unknown, yet fascinating and thrilling. At times I wanted it to stop because it was unpleasant witnessing how Lo and Lily were destroying themselves and unable to stop. Although I can't say I loved this book in comparing it to others I typically enjoy, it was definitely different and it sucked me in. I'm looking forward to book two and taking another exciting ride!

This was not your typical angst romance. The characters come alive. Both characters with their own flaws trying to help each other. It was hard and took them along time to realize with so much pain they couldn't help each other only cause further pain. I loved the. Commitment they had to each other, although unhealthy, they would've done anything for each other and did. I hope their is a sexual soon. Deep and realistic love and problems makes this one to not forget.

I reviewed this at MustReadBooksOrDie with my friend Shelley!

Shel: I wasn't really sure what to expect after I read the blurb for this book but I decided..what the heck? And y'all..I'm so glad I did. My thoughts are a little scattered so be patient with me because I don't want to spoil anything and yet I want to give you enough so that you are encouraged to read this. Court: *thumbs up*

Shel: Hmmmm. So where to start? I guess I can honestly say that at first this novel seemed like many novels that we read and review. Young protagonist/antagonist, affluent, conflict...you know how it goes..and I remember thinking: okay? I was honestly a little skeptical but the more I read, the more I wanted to read. I became invested in what was happening with Lo and Lily. Their grasp on normality was tenuous at best and the path of destruction they were wreaking on themselves was painful to think about...and yet, I kept going.

Court: OMIGAH. I read this a little later than Shel, and I was absolutely like WHAT? What is happening here? OMG. Even at 40% I knew. I effing knew that things were going to get really hard. Torturous. Soul sucking/soul crushing. I was pretty much effing right. But...as ever the masochist I am in love with these characters, and the writing...and I cannot wait to devour the rest of the series.

Shel: I think what intrigued me was that this could've easily been a whiny "I'm rich, woe is me" type novel but it never turned into that. Instead Lily and Lo's feelings of being beholden to their addictions and spinning out of control..that sense of them feeling completely lost and out of it was compelling to me. I imagined that many have felt those same feelings. I truly appreciated that the Ritchie sisters did not make excuses or try to pretty up their characters; they left them raw and grimy and never shied away from giving us their ugliness.

Court: No. Their actions are very ugly. Lily is the first one to tell you how messed up she is, how great her family is, yet she identifies that both her and Lo's issues and selfishness make them such awful people...but they are not at a point AT ALL that they are willing to give it up. I could appreciate the honesty...but sometimes it hurt. But I couldn't stop! I could NOT stop! And I hope that you don't wanna either.

Shel: I also appreciated the little bits and pieces of Lo and Lily's back story that were given, as well as the inclusion of Connor and Rose and Ryke and Daisy. These extra characters, while annoying to Lo and Lily, helped give perspective and provided that outside pressure to help move us along instead of mire us down deeper in the destruction of Lo and Lily.

Court: The friends! I loved the friends. These two loners do not let people in easily, or well, at all. And when Connor and then others keep putting themselves in their path, and do not give up...you see that outsiders see more than Lo and Lily want them to see. I absolutely loved Connor and Ryke. I loved every smart mouth, way to brutally honest thing that came out of Connor's mouth. They all seem very gossip girl, and I fracking love it. Love, love, love it. I love this series. Am I getting ridiculous now? I'm sorry...but It Is So True!

Shel: SIDE NOTE: There's a lot of mention of sex in this novel but interestingly it was so interconnected to Lily's addiction that I really never found it steamy. I found it sad (for Lily and Lo) and sometimes tender (in the way that Lo handled things) but more than anything, I thought it was something I'd never really thought about. ..and the note about sexuality at the end made me fall even more in love with the writers.

Court: Yep. The story is well rounded. Well researched. The characters made me feel, and there was much more depth to the way they are than I realized.

Court: And omigawd these girls (the authors) are TWENTY THREE!! WOW! I am in love with them too. Haha.

Shel: I am really hoping to squeeze in the rest of this series at every chance that I can. It was different and interesting and engaging. Court: What she said!

Shelley: 4 1/2 Stars
Courtney: 5 Stars

This book took my heart right from my chest, kicked it around in the dirt and held it out to me, but won't let go. I have a major book handover, and don't know when I can let this go. This is not an easy read, but it is so beautiful in its damaging way. I hope that things get better for Lo and and Lily. Right now I'm just heartbroken...

Wow. Ok. So. Where to start...this book pulled me in from the very beginning. I mean, talk about some damaged people. This is the most effed up relationship/situation I've ever read. I've never been addicted to anything...my body just rejects anything that's "not right." I mean, I can never have too much alcoholic beverage because I puke my guts out and then pass out. And I've even tried smoking for 3 months, but it just wouldn't stick. I couldn't hack it...I couldn't get addicted to it. So, to read about these MC where one's addicted to booze and the other to sex and they're using each other and enabling each other's addiction...I mean...wow...I was hooked. They were just a big disaster waiting to happen; a ticking time bomb. My emotions went for a rollercoaster ride throughout the book. One minute I was laughing my butt off, then next I was thoroughly depressed. I love Lil and Lo. They are just meant for each other in every single way. They understand each other, they've been there for each other, and they have all that history and chemistry. They have that unconditional love for one another and it's going to break my heart to pieces if they don't end up together in the end and get their HEA. I could not stop reading this book!! I couldn't even put it down for 2 seconds to do anything at all today. I had to find out what's going to happen next. Anytime I was interrupted, I swear I wanted to hurt someone.

I am completely obsessed with this series! I've been trying to get others to read this because it's unlike any of the other NAs I've read...no typical bad boy meets virgin and falls instantly in love with her. I love best friends turned lovers...and the love in this one is deep-seated. No insta-love here. I've seen a lot of people hate it because there's a lot of focus on their addictions and the authors don't sugar coat any of it or scale it back to make it more appealing. It's honest, raw, intense, and gut-wrenching. I like that it's real. I mean...people actually do suffer these addictions and nothing about it is pretty. But in the midst of all that dark and ugly world, out comes these two who are totally drowning and can't realize that they actually love each other so much more than their vice.

I highly recommend the Addicted Series! MUST READ!!!

This book was recommended due to another kindle book purchase I made months ago. I read the synopsis at that time and decided not to read Addicted to You. But, after finishing a few YA series, I needed a break from dystopian plots and decided to give this book another chance. Here's the issue: the first 60+% of the book goes through Lily and Lo's addictions. I don't need to read about the 100th time that Lily watches porn or Lo's 15th glass of expensive whiskey. Also, a book does not need to resolve all issues, particularly with something like alcohol and sex addiction, but even a show like Intervention offers some sort of closure before the hour is up rather than spending the entire show focusing solely on the addict. We don't learn enough about Lo's back story (or Lily's for that matter) until 96% complete. Perhaps that was the author's intent as a sort of cliffhanger in order to get the reader to buy book #2. But I already know enough about the characters from book #1 that I don't want to read about their rehab/therapy journeys.

A very involved tale of two people who are fighting their own demons and trying to be together and be there for each other. Each does their best to be strong for the other. In the end, they realize what they need to be well and whole can't be a reality unless they accept help from others.

3.5 Stars

I found this book really difficult to rate because I didn't really start enjoying it until about the 70 % mark and the appearance of an amazing and strong secondary character Ryke. I loved him instantly.

It is a really different story line, Lily a Sex addict and her best friend and "fake" boyfriend Lo an alcoholic. They both come from wealthy families and grew up together. Their codependent relationship and being enablers to each other addictions was slowly destroying them.

I loved Lo and could understand where his alcoholism came from but I couldn't say the same for Lily and thats where I struggled with this book. The cause of her addiction was unknown and not easily apparent to the reader. Lily herself admits she came from a wealthy family who loved her and was never abused.

I also could not see how Lily (who was shy, awkward in social situations - even with her own family, so skinny she looked emaciated )managed to get men to have sex with her anywhere and anytime just by giving them a look. Plus no one recognising her and who she was given the high profile of her family was a little unbelievable to me.

You would think that a book about where the main character is a sex addict would have lots if sex in it - but it really doesn't and we aren't given any details of Lily's one nights stands.

Connor Rose and Ryke came along and that's where the book got interesting for me and I wanted to see where it went.

I will be continuing with this series because the ending did suck me in and I really like the secondary characters and would like to read more about them.

Good book, but Lily and Lo's addictions disturbed me. It's not a feel good book, and I felt depressed reading it. But that's what makes a good book- when you feel it. I think the last two chapters were a little overly dramatic, but I still really enjoyed the book. I'm planning to start reading the next book now.
