Yes, the plot does contain some very improbable aspects, but don't we read fiction mainly as escapism? The writing style is excellent, the editing mistakes bearable, and the story is dramatic, relevant - and leaves you feeling glad to have experienced it.

Very well thought out and written, with some minor typos. I enjoyed this emotional story immensely. It is about how and illness in a loved one can bring people together, show you what really matters and bring out the best in people.

The only complaint is the indecisiveness of the main character concerning her relationships but I enjoyed the book and it was a good read for my long trip. Would I read another book by this author? Yup!

This book has it all - suspense, tears, romance and life. It's the story of a sick little boy but it has all the ups and downs of real life. Children's friendships to adult friendships, what a real friendship means. There's probably more ups and downs than many people will encounter but the outcome will keep you guessing.

I absolutely loved this book. It was very heart warming and very real. It was hard to put it down. At times I thought I am not sure about this and it had some surprises. I did not delete it from my library, I plan to read it again in the future.

This story touches the heart and keeps the reader involved in the story. I read the book in one sitting, staying up way beyond my usual bedtime. The focus is on a mother's love and all that she will do to protect her child, even dealing with painful issues from her past.

A well-written and emotional story of a family dealing with childhood leukemia. It is straight forward with all the ups and downs that go along with diagnosis, treatments, prognosis and possible outcomes. This story also shows how it is possible to forgive and live life to it's fullest.
