This is a wonderful addition to the Into the Fire series, it's a standalone story, no cliffhangers and a HEA.

Susannah and Ward have known each other for several years, after having a fling and not seeing each other again. Now Ward is her boss and the sizzling sexual attraction is still blazing hot.

Really a sweet romance story, filled with emotion. Loved the characters. Well-written easy read. Perfect for a rainy afternoon.

I loved this sexy story with great characters, romance and intrigue. Susannah was a hotshot fire fighter in Alaska. Her new boss was the buy she had head a one night stand with four years prior. They got together for one last one night stand, but it led to much more. They made a great couple and went through a lot, but finally got their HEA. I volunteered to review an Advance Reader Copy of this book. This was a smoking hot read, very sensual, erotic, passionate and the chemistry between the two of them is off the charts. I love a good taboo forbidden romance. This did not disappoint. I will definitely read this book again. Both characters were strong and truly cared for each. And the sex scenes were very well done. I really enjoyed the dual POV and bringing in the characters from the previous books.

I love this series! These hot shots are definitely a hot mess when it comes to their love lives. They know what they want, but have a hard time making things happen the way they want them to. This story is different to the others in a few ways. It’s more interesting to know how things are with them versus the way things worked out for the other couples. I hope this isn’t the last of these hot shots. I’m voluntarily reviewing an advanced reader copy of this book.

This is another enjoyable book from J. H. Croix. This is a Well written book And has a great storyline. It is a real page turner and you won't want to put it down. The characters Ward & Susannah were likeable and they just pull you in to their story. I loved their chemistry and interaction. These stories always make me laugh and smile. I love the back and forth between the characters and that none of the heros/heroines are ever dumb or weak. It's all about strong men and women coming together in a blaze of passion (haha) and finding true love and happily ever after. This one is no exception and even includes a surprise baby!

Wow...I loved this book, they first met when they were training in California and had a one night stand then when he came to Willow brook they decided to have one night together and that would be it because he was becoming her boss, but some things occurred that they had to work through. this is a super good book you won't be able to put it down once you start it Savannah has a sassy attitude and she doesn't have a problem showing it.

This is wade and suzannah’s story, they are both hot shot firefighters and had had a brief affair years ago while they were in training. Then wade shows up as suzannah’s boss and they can’t keep their hands off each other! Set in rural Alaska, we get to catch up with characters from earlier books in the series, but this is a standalone story. Sizzling hot, it is another winner from J.H. Croix!

I received this book in advance from Booksprouts for a voluntary honest review. Good writing from one of my favorite authors. I really liked Ward, such a loving man. His steady love for Savannah was heart warming. Savannah so wanted to be seen as a strong, independent woman and so reluctant to put her heart on the line. Watching their love evolve was a pleasure. Enjoyable book definitely recommended.

Strong characters and a great story line. I so love Croix's work and can't wait to read more. I just couldn't put it down once I started reading it either. You will love reading Ward and Susannah's story. They thought that they could handle this passion but it seems to be burning out of control on them.

What can I say about this one. another great book in the Into the fire series. Ward and Susannah have crazy and intense chemistry. Thinking that they had one night together years ago and never see each other again. Both are independent and strong willed. Another night together leads to so much more.
This is a story about learning to live and love the unexpected. To see how both come to terms with falling in love and a baby. Susannah is such a strong willed and independent woman. Ward is an alpha male with strong feelings for Susannah.

Ms. Croix does it again! She is an excellent writer with a talent for developing characters and plots that immediately draw you in and hold your attention until the very end of the book. I have read and enjoyed many of her books and this fourth book in The Fire Series deals with Susanna and Ward and their volatile, hot relationship that's further fueled by the dangers of being a firefighter and an unexpected pregnancy. I was given an ARC from BookSprout and have voluntarily chosen to write this review. I can honestly say that I thoroughly enjoyed the book and can heartily recommend it.

I LOVE this series! The place, it's characters, their relationships with each other and the community and their journey to love filled with sizzling passion, conflict that leads to characters growth and heartwarming HEAs never fail to grab my attention and keep me addicted to every installment and Hot Mess is no exception. I love the banter, how every character is relatable and so lovable and how each couple is absolutely perfect for one another. I definitely recommend this book as well as all the books in this series.

A Hot Mess that leaves you panting for more, Ward and Susannah have a story that refuses to be put down. Ward is one of those almost perfect alpha males. He’s dominant, demanding, dark... but in the same breath he is thoughtful, caring and unwavering. Savannah was a bit irritating, if I’m being frank. Her wishy-washy attitude went against the strength she was suppose to resemble. Maybe it was to soften her, but it grated on my nerves and was the drag of this story. Their chemistry is hot and Croix definitely knows how to write passion. Great add to this series. I received this book for a voluntary, completely honest and non incentivized review.

How aptly named. This is a fast paced, adrenaline pumping, easy to follow and exciting, hot turns into combustible. A heavy rollercoaster ride with do many twists and turns as you get to know the characters and their personalities as they race headlong into the heat. Amazingly written, a plot well played and an attraction so hot its about to explode. You'll be captivated from the start. J's expertise is clearly shown as she details if each scene is so realistic you can practically feel it.

There are plenty of reviews that tell you how great this book is! I’m another one! Get ready for a hot, steamy read! I was enthralled with the characters from beginning to end! She knows what she wants and goes for it. Ward is perfect sexy, hot as hell, alpha male. Together these two are hotter than the fires they put out in the cold Alaska tundra. An amazing story from an amazing and incredible author!!

Great addition to this series! These hot shot firefighters (both male and female) are SMOKIN!!! Things happen quickly in this story but it causes some angst and lots of sex as a denial method. Love the characters and how they butt heads and struggle to actually be vulnerable since they are all so ALPHA (even the women!) Loved it!
