Elude (Eagle Elite Book 6)

There are stories where the knight comes in and physically saves the princess - this is not THAT story. We are drawn into this mob wedding and see the dark knight indeed protect the princess -but more than that we see him enter into her inner world of living with terminal cancer and how he battles the emotional dragons to save them both in the end. Beautifully written.

Once again Rachel Van Dyken has proven that her Eagle Elite series still rocks with each book. I loved that we have Sergio, a man who has killed with no mercy get struck with a woman who is so like him in every way. Rachel Van Dyken totally packed this book with so much emotion and heartache I was rooting for Sergio in the end for his happiness. This is just Part 6 in a series that is coming dear to me cannot wait to see how Sergio will continue and the who family. Loved it.

This story was completely different from the rest of the series but also completely like it. There was surprises around every corner, the same hysterical character chemistry but this book about Sergio and Andie was heartbreaking but sooo beautifully done.

This book was beautiful, sad, and romantic. I wish it would have ended differently but I know Rachel Vandyken has something plan for Sergio. I love Andi (Russia). She was always happy and was able to change Sergio. Help him feel more human he always seemed to be dead. Can't wait to hear Sergio's happily ever after.

Absolutely gut wrenching is what this book was, so thanks for ripping my heart out Rachel.. I just don't think she could have written a better book for Sergio.. Blood is thicker than water and I loved how the troops rallied around Sergio in his time of need..And Andi what a great character she was, the way she valued the life she had been given..Grab your tissues and ready yourselves for the laughter and the heartbreak!!

I really enjoyed Elude by Rachel Van Dyken. I've actually enjoyed all of the books so far in the Eagle Elite series, but this one if by far my favorite. There was something about Sergio and Andi's characters that made me just hope for a happy ending for them.
If you enjoy mob books with a different, more modern flavor - then I think you would enjoy this series.

I absolutely loved this book!! I ugly cried so hard but I laughed too! As Sergio would say it was "bittersweet". Such a beautiful, captivating story about love, family, life, death and friendship. I literally had to stop and walk away so many times because my heart ached! Rachel is an amazing author and I believe this may be her best book yet!!!! Cannot wait for the next book in this incredible series!!

I love this author and this series, but this book took my breath away! I literally ran the whole range of emotions with this book! Love, love, love Sergio and Andi! I kept waiting for the big moment when her illness would be overcome....but the author did one even better. Although I'm still crying as write this, it was a great book that I would highly recommend! What an awesome addition to this series!

Let's start out by saying you will experience every emotion while reading this book. I laughed out loud throughout this amazing book! I cried and I mean actual tears falling down my face break your heart.

Rachel did an awesome job writing this book and everyone needs to know it. I fell in love with all these characters again and again. As always RVD you're an amazing talented writer.

I really wasn't prepared for the emotional impact the Elude had on me. This book is very well written, paced and leaves you wanting so much more. I laughed and cried, boy did I cry. The ending is, by far the most emotional ending that I have read in a very long time, maybe that I have ever read. The future of the series is set up nicely. I absolutely have a huge book hangover and I need to read something very lite after this book. I'm glad that I was able to read it in one day because if I would have had to stop and read it over a series of days I would have been a wreck. Very well done.

Rachel has done it again! Be prepared to laugh at all the sarcasm and antics, cry at the beauty and heartbreak, and be angry at Sergio for being his usual assiness lol I loved Sergio and Andi's story even if it wasn't the ending I wanted. I can NOT WAIT for her next book in this series! Keep Nixon, Chase, Tex, and the rest of this mafia crew coming please!

This story is truly wonderful if not terribly sad too. A unique story of a man made to marry a woman he hates, who is dying, and told not to fall in love with her. Of course reality sets in and thus the story begins. I really enjoyed this book.

Two assassins forced into a lifeless marriage, both with unsavory backgrounds. This is the setting for this funny heartbreaking romance. I hadn't read the other eagle elite books before stumbling onto this amazing novel but I sure will do so now!

Rachel's way with words in this installment of the Eagle Elite series is Incredible! She has everything in it! Humour, underlying sadness, mafia talk, caring moments and more....
I love how she puts words onto a computer and comes up with sheer brilliance! I have never been disappointed by anything she writes and this book is phenomenal!!
Giving each character their own book, gives us insight to their thoughts and feelings and Sergio is no different than the rest of the gang!
I absolutely loved his and Andi's story!
Andi was just a force to be reckoned with, that's the impression I got about her.... Her words, her behavior and the humour was just icing on the cake in this book!
Sergio, I think I fell in love!! No seriously, each time I read one of these books, you cannot help but want to know the man underneath all that mafia toughness!!! I kid you not!! He's like a big Italian Bear!!
Ahh but Sergio and Andi together???!!! You are in for a ride, it will be bumpy but hang on and take it! You will not be disappointed at all!

I thought I was finished with the series but Ember renewed my interest. Thoroughly. Then, Elude sucked me in 100 percent. I hadn't invested much in getting to know the ghost that was Sergio, but this book brought him front and center. And I made him sparkle. Warm and heartbreaking and life affirming. Ready for Emire? I am.

I swear she writes with every emotion possible. I laugh , a,d cry, and want to throw stuff when I read this series. I knew what the outcome was going to be, but wasn't prepared for the emotions I was feeling. These characters pet names were so funny yet I loved them too. From a killer to a sweet ass husband. Perfect

This book is a hauntingly beautiful Keeper! In the world of e-readers,it is so hard to find a real keeper nowadays...This is one of those...I loved this book and its been 3 years since i found another author and keeper :)

Andie is such a beautiful person inside and out and captured the hearts of everyone around her their story was so beautiful. I laughed and cried so hard my emotions I just could not hold back thank u Rachel for an amazing story love love love this book can't wait to read book 7.

Where to start???? This book was AMAZING!! I love this series and this book is by far my favorite. Had me happy one moment and BAWLING the next. My emotions were everywhere. Never knew I was a fan of Sergio until now.... I EFFING LOVE HIM!!! Thanks so much Rachel for bringing us this book. Can't wait to get my hands on the next one.

This story is unforgettable.... My heart was shattered at the end, but I found joy as well. I think all things happen for a reason, and this was how it was supposed to be for Sergio. He was able to find 'life' and purpose again, I loved it!

This was the first of this series I purchased. Loved the writing and the storyline. The characters sense of humor, their chemistry and the ending was a surprise. I'm hooked and will download the rest of the series. Rachel has a new fan.

Another winner. I can't get enough. Usually a series begins lacking after the first few, not so with Eagle Elite. Ms Van Dyken keeps each story fresh and exhilarating while pulling the reader in and not letting go. Kudos

I love the words and phrasing Rachel Van Dyken uses to weave her story. I actually created a note pad and saved perfectly articulated lines of thought throughout this wonderful story. I love to read because I've always loved words put together to give such a clear visual reality of the story I'm lost in. Love that this is a series because I'm not ready to leave this family yet!

WOW! I really have no words....This book was full of twists that take you deep into the Eagle Elite world. Rachel breaks your heart and then puts it back together again, all the while leaving you wanting more. It's been a few years since I have ugly cried like I did while reading this book. You will definitely need a box of tissues before cracking into this beauty :) Way to go Rachel...thank you for giving Sergio a storyline that blows the reader away!!! Can't wait for Empire!!!

Make sure you have your Kleenex ready. This book will send you on an emotional roller coaster. You will laugh, be frustrated and cry. But boy is it worth it. Another amazing book written by Rachel Van Dyken in the Eagle Elite Series. Must read book in a must read series!

this book. lord jesus. ripped me apart & swirled my innards all over the place. ugly cry achieved but I've also never read a heartbreakingly beautiful story of the ultimate gift a person can receive & redemption like no other. another AMAZING, awesome, soul stealing story by the queen of heartbreak!!!! love this series with a passion!!!

I normally do not review books, but this one, wow! I laughed, cried, and held out hope to the very end. This is not the first book in the series but it was the first one I read. Now I guess I'll have to read all of them!
