Absolutely fabulous book. I didn't expect anything less from Miss Carla. I just got the book delivered to my Kindle, so I haven't yet tried the recipes. Looking forward to cooking Carla's food. The recipes & photos look delicious.

I like the tips from her catering days, particularly. Very readable book--some interesting recipes. However, I have only read about half of it--and haven't cooked from it yet, though a couple of recipes have caught my eye.

I was so disappointed in this book! As a cookbook collector and fan of The Chew, I am a big fan ofCarla's. her cookbook was not the kind of cooking I expected, and I have already sold it to the half-priced bookstore!

Really interesting recipes that sound familiar but fill in knowledge and technique gaps. Carla's background info throughout very engaging. Mostly I've stopped buying cookbooks, but made an exception for CWL, and glad of it.

I loved Carla on Top Chef for her big personality and her enormous heart. I'm so excited to own some of her soulful recipes, especially her winning Chicken Pot Pie (with crust on bottom!). Every recipe shows her spirit and passion for food. Check out The Chew for more delicious comfort food recipes from Carla Hall.

I LOVE CARLA and this cookbook didn't disappoint. The stories are from the heart and really paint a picture of how comforting food can be. There are a few recipes that are over the top for me but overall a well put together cookbook. I'm sure I will add 5 or 6 of these to my regular cooking routine. Thanks Carla for cooking with love!

This is in response to the mean-spirted review by someone, who does not like Carla Hall. That's fine. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but it seems mean and unfair to give a review of a book you never plan to purchase. As for me, I've let my husband know I'd love to find this book under the Christmas tree. The "look inside" shows the Table of Contents and one of the recipes. I have tried some of Carla's recipes from "The Chew" and enjoyed all of them, which is why I am going to give this book 5 stars to counter the 1 star review.

Love Love Love this cookbook. Ok would love more photos next time, but every recipe I have made from this book is wonderful. It is healthy cooking, without being about health. Fully developed complex flavors without too much butter and cream. I can't wait for her next book. Thank you Carla!

I received this cookbook for Christmas and as soon as I opened it, read the entire book! Carla writes personal stories before each recipe that truly draw you in. The selections in the book are classic dishes most anyone can enjoy and relate to. The three dishes I have tried have been huge hits with my family.

Please never recommend anything from that horrid show "The Chew". I'm well aware some people like it but I don't like any of the "characters" or any of their cheezy talk and the name of the show is ridiculous. Remove me from anything pertaining to them. Thank you. I love the store.com.
