I did recipe testing for this book, so I have cooked a LOT of these recipes. They are easy for home cooks to follow, use primarily ingredients people (at least vegans) will already have at home, and are accompanied by so many beautiful pictures! The pictures are what really make me excited to cook a recipe and I'm happy that there are so many. My favorite recipes are the king pao lentils, especially when made using the date-sweetened teriyaki sauce, and the peanut butter blender cake. I made the chocolate chip cookie dough bars for a couple last minute work events (they take so little time to mix together) and they have been a universal hit. Of course, Richa is the authority on Indian flavors and has made Indian recipes so much more approachable for me to try.

Didn't like that the recipe book is based on sauces, which she then adds to a variety of different recipes. As a result, they end up tasting the same. I would have rather just looked at her website. I personally wouldn't buy it again. Also, the recipes all have too many ingredients, many you can't find if you don't live in areas with good indian/ethnic groceries.

I just received this cookbook and looked through the recipes. This is an extremely well set up cookbook that includes beautiful photos and nutritional breakdown. I haven't tried any of them yet but I've been cooking long enough that I can look at a recipe and know that it's going to be fantastic. Both regular flour and gluten free options are offered. Substitutions for ingredients are liberally given. The amazing desserts are surprisingly low in fat. I am so excited to begin trying these recipes.

I have a bunch of vegan cookbooks but I print so many of her recipes from Facebook that I had to buy this cookbook. I love so many of the recipes although I haven't had a chance to try many yet. Will be cooking Vegan Richa this weekend!

My husband and I have been a vegan for 12 years and I call myself a vegan home cook. Richa asked me to help test recipes for this new cookbook and I was thrilled to do it! I loved the process and of course, my husband, really enjoyed tasting all the yummy recipes. The cookbook is beautifully written and illustrated. I love how she uniquely broke out the chapters and in my opinion, Richa created some of the best sauces I've ever tasted...and you know, it's all about the sauce. I can't recommend this book enough!!!

This book is amazing! I already own this book, and purchased two copies for my kids. I was a recipe tester for this book, so I know first-hand how wonderful these recipes are. My family consists of me and 2.5 carnivores. :) I can vouch that everyone in my household loved these recipes. For months we ate almost strictly Richa's recipes. . . and everyone was satisfied, full and happy.
The following have been repeated in my home, because my carnivore 20-something sons and 1/2 carnivore husband asked for them:
-Easiest Black Bean Burger
-Sweet Potato Peanut Chickpea Burgers
-Cauliflower Alfredo Spinach Artichoke Lasagna (we never like any Alfredo before this one!!!!)
-Veggie Vegan Lasagna
-Mixed Vegetable Pakoras
-Brownies
-Red Lentil Curry Soup
-Buffalo Chickpea Tacos
Stir-Fry with Orange Sauce (better than Chinese takeout)
-Marbled Turmeric Pumpkin Chocolate Loaf
-Chocolate Sweet Potato or Pumpkin Tart with Oat Crust
-AMAZING sauces. . .
You may have heard some of these recipe names before, but none are as flavorful, creative and satisfying as Richa Hingle's amazing creations.
In other words, if you do not own this book already, you should. Just go buy the book. You will be happy you did!!

This cookbook is a must-have for any kitchen vegan or not. Every page of the cookbook has mouth-watering, delicious recipes. Ms. Richa has designed the cookbook with so much detail and thought. It is definitely a labor of love and I am thankful that I get to experience cooking out of the cookbook. She has designed the cookbook with awesome sauces that you can premake and have ready when putting together meals. You can make many different recipes using only one awesome sauce. I love this concept because I cook on Saturday for the upcoming week which means I can prep a lot of different meals and quickly put them together on weeknights. Additionally, every recipe in her book has many variations. My family recently made Chickpeas in Peanut Butter Sauce and had it for three meals, one with rice, one with rice noodles, and one with baked potatoes. I am not by any means a great cook but my family of five loves every meal that I make from Vegan Richa's blog or cookbook. Her recipes are easy to follow with clear insturctions. Thank you Vegan Richa for all the wonderful recipes!

Any time I have a random craving for dinner, I know where to look for a recipe. It’s Richa’s website. She has a recipe for pretty much anything you can think of (how does she DO it?!) ...but I’ve found her cookbooks have the best of the best of her unbelievable recipes. Her first cookbook “Vegan Richa’s Indian Kitchen” is one of my most used. I recipe tested for this one, so I got a head start in knowing already that this one’s just as amazing, and that it’s gonna get just as crusty and stained from use (aka love), I can already tell. Favorites: Mushroom Jalapeño White Pizza, Easiest Black Bean Burgers, Bombay Potatoes and Peas, Tofu & Vegetables in White Masala Sauce, One Hour Cinnamon Rolls, and OH MY GOD - Tiramisu Fudge Bars. You’re really gonna need this one.

I really like her first cookbook, so I knew this one would be a hit too. I made the Marble Chocolate Pumpkin Loaf and it is SO GOOD. I can't wait to try out more from the book. This book has more varied cuisines; a few Indian recipes but not many.
I like how the book is structured, focusing on sauces and applying them to different dishes. I also like that the basic here's-how-to-set-up-your-vegan-kitchen stuff is in the back and not the front.
I do not have any food allergies, but she clearly states when recipes can be made gluten, nut, or soy-free.
Don't hesitate, just buy this and her Indian Kitchen book too!

I am not sure how Richa does it! Absolutely every recipe I have made of hers has been SO delicious. Her Indian cookbook has been my favourite since I got it. I was concerned I wouldn't love these recipes as much (because Indian is my favourite food) but I am blown away. I have so many friends who have also become Richa fans after eating meals I have prepared for them from her cookbooks. Do NOT hesitate to purchase this book! You will not be disappointed!

Congratulations Richa! You've done it again!

This book was given to me as a gift, and I'm so glad it was! Every recipe I've cooked from Richa has been perfect, and the ones from this book are no exception. The recipes are simple and flavorful and easy to make on a weeknight.

Fantastic book - Genius idea to sort the recipes by base sauces, this means once you've chosen the flavour of the meal the recipes can be adapted to what you have at hand, this makes deciding what to cook so much easier. The recipes are easy to follow, clean and full of flavour - it's shaping up to be my new favourite cookbook!

I have only made two recipes from this cookbook so far: Crunchy Cauliflower and Sweet and Sour sauce. Even if I never made anything else from this cookbook, it was worth the price for those recipes alone. That cauliflower was soooooo good. The outside was crispy, the inside soft and moist. I may have shared a little with my husband, but the rest was all mine!
