Fun concept, good read, good character development, one of the plot twists was a bit predictable. Main Characters were believable, more development of 2nd tier characters would be better. Will definitely read more of the series.

It's not like any LitRPG I've read, but that's not really the best guarantee that it's a good book. It's not especially heavy on traditional RPG elements, but that's a plus on it's report card because that allows for a better story and keeps you from burning out because of too many quests and events. All in all, can't wait for the second book

Had a lot of fun reading the book, no real complaints, the book was a definite good find on kindle unlimited, wish there was more to the series to binge. Would have preferred a larger focus on magic, but that's more personal preference
Legacy of the Fallen: Ascend Online, Book 3 :: Sword Art Online, Vol. 2: Aincrad :: Awaken Online: Precipice :: A litRPG Adventure (The Viridian Gate Archives Book 2) :: Awaken Online: Evolution

The story is well paced and fluid. The characters all have a lot of potential. I especially can't wait to see where the sequel takes the main character. A unique twist on what can sometimes be a redundant genre.

All the things I hate about multi-player games in one book. Bullying, kill stealing people in general going out of there way to ruin other people’s game. The main character is supposedly very intelligent, but does really stupid things, as does his roommate.

An entertaining page turner. The author is clearly a professional, with few typos or defects in the writing. While well within the confines of the LitRPG genre, with little innovation to its tropes, those who enjoy such works will find this a smooth read.

Overall the action and DR magic or advancement system in this book are interesting. The storyline is somewhat lazy. The scientific or pseudoscientific basis for the Haven is not fleshed out. And aside from this the plot is not interesting. Basically a mediocre millennial white boy (oh wait the first paragraph does indicate that his struggle is real...) gets placed in an environment where he suddenly acquires a drive for excellence and his real life C+ skill set translates to success.
Minor spoilers
Add in cultural stereotypes:
Rich white frat boy.
Cute Asian tsundere with a troubled childhood precipitated by a domineering father (Also that she like all female Asian cliches is inexplicably attracted to mediocre protagonists).
Angry Latina caricatured as a brute and is literally indicated to be part of the affirmative action plan.
Finally the "minimum wage" Indian tech support prototype for comic relief.

This ranges from trite to offensive.

Sadly the entertainment is still worth the read.
