Welcome To Lovecraft (Locke & Key Volume) - Locke & Key Vol. 1

Great Great Read. I was instantly hooked after the first volume and had to order the next two, then after reading those two, i thought to myself why didn't i just order the whole set, because that is what ended up happening anyhow. Just caused me waiting impatiently for More! 100 percent recommended.

I ordered this mostly because I have really enjoyed Joe Hill's novels, and also because I thought the art work looked nice. Well, the art work is actually GORGEOUS, which made me think that maybe the story might be lacking something, and relying on the art work, but nope. The story is fantastic. Hope they make this into a very very long series!!!

Great beginning to a series that will probably get much better! I read the kindle version and the only complaint I have is that when zooming in on a panel of the comic it wouldn't always include the whole panel.

Welcome to Lovecraft has a strange first half of the book until you realize that Joe Hill is sowing the seeds for a long term story. The book has great characters and altogether very interesting mechanism with the keys which feel completely at ends with violence but it gives the books a sense of something more than a simple horror book.

This  comic is why comics were created. The mix of horror fantasy and flash backs makes this story one fantastic ride. Joe Hill makes most writers look like novices and he has just begun. Simply amazing.

The book itself (narrative, illustrations, dialogue) is excellent and I look forward to the next volume. However, the condition I received it in was less than ideal, as there is some damage to the cover and spine. If you want to buy this book in print I would recommend a local comic book shop.

Excellent narrative, exceptional art work, interesting characters, intriguing setting, its just top notch story telling. Get this book,you won't regret it. Shame that the show couldn't find a network, it might have been a hit. I'm downloading book two as we speak!

Fantastic art from cover to cover. This story leaves you craving the next taste that awaits in volumes to come. A great read for anyone who loves a good bit of mystery. Gabriel Rodriguez brings an artistic style that takes an already great tale and turns it up to eleven.

Superbly designed and written. The characters have a real depth which is only enhanced by the artist's work. The story flows smoothly and is darkly captivating. Some of the best writing I've had the pleasure to read...in any form.

This is a must read. Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez are a great team. Read everything they've created. Joe Hill hasn't disappointed me yet. Heart Shaped-Box, Horns, 20th Century Ghost Stories & now Locke & Key. The guy is on Fire!

This graphic novel was fantastic. The story line, the illustrations and everything else were amazing.. This story left you wanting more and hopefully the next one will do the same. Extemely well done. When I purchased this book, I wasn't aware that it was a graphic novel, however, am I glad it was. I haven't read "comics" since I was a child but this more than makes up for it.
