Departed (A Private Investigator Series of Crime and Suspense Thrillers

Review:I really love this character. Every Leopold Blake story means reading late into the night, I just can't put them down!
The other thing I love about this series is the descriptive nature used to describe the locations. The details of London and "the Yard" were so interesting.
Another great read! Read more

The Toymaker (The Action-Packed Jake Pendleton Political Thriller series Book 2)

Review:This book was very captivating and was very hard to put down! It was a book that holds your attention , you feel you know the characters personally!! Author was very knowledgeable about the "toys" he made come to life and how to "play" with them . Was hoping for another book.., Read more

The Savannah Project (The Action-Packed Jake Pendleton Political Thriller series Book 1)

Review:Loved it. I never knew which way the story would go. There were a few times the same information was repeated multiple times, but all in all I like the characters and the twists and turns the story takes. Read more

Razor Sharp (Sisterhood Book 14)
Razor Sharp (Sisterhood Book 14)

Review:I always enjoy the adventures of the "Sisters" and "Vigilantes".

This story involving some of the inner circle of the President of the United States and the Madam and her girls from an exclusive escort service need the special team work of all members of the Sisters and extended group to diffuse the situation and keep it from becoming public knowledge.

I find it especially interesting that shortly after reading this book that some members of the FBI are in the spotlight for a sim... Read more

The Lords of the North (The Last Kingdom Series - Book 3)
The Lords of the North (The Last Kingdom Series - Book 3)

Review:This is a good series. The life of Uhtred continues to be compelling reading. He has much to put up with but manages to come through stronger than ever. He's a strong character and you can't help but like him even if you don't agree with his actions. Read more

Deja Dead: A Novel (Temperance Brennan Book 1)
Deja Dead: A Novel (Temperance Brennan Book 1)

Review:There is no resemblance between the Tempe from TV and the protagonist of this book.. She's divorced , an ME in Canada with a grown daughter. It is hard to believe that this character "inspired" the other. If you can get beyond this, it's a good, though extremely violent story, which is not really my style; I will not be buying the next in the series. Read more

206 Bones: A Novel (Temperance Brennan Book 12)
206 Bones: A Novel (Temperance Brennan Book 12)

Review:Kathy Reichs has lost the plot with this book. Her early works revealed details of forensics that made her books interesting and exciting, drawing the reader into a world largely hidden from public view. Perhaps the plethora of CSI type TV shows (and now Bones) has removed the voyeurism inherent in this kind of story and left Reichs with a thin story based on the characters that includes some side references to forensic details to justify the genre. The writing is dreadful - one liners, intermin... Read more

A Novel (Temperance Brennan Book 14) - Flash and Bones
A Novel (Temperance Brennan Book 14) - Flash and Bones

Review:This is very different from the usual Kathy Reichs' novels, but it is extremely entertaining and just as spellbinding! Although the storyline is not as "reality" based as the Temperence Brennan series, Tory has her own endearing qualities that draw you to her and you can't help but cheer her on. Read more

Cross Bones (Temperance Brennan Book 8)
Cross Bones (Temperance Brennan Book 8)

Review:Cross Bones was very difficult for me to read. There were so many words that I found difficult to pronounce and spent a good deal of time trying to figure them out. This book did make me think, however. My belief has always been that though I believe the Bible is what it is I have never believed that every word was authentic and I found some answers to questions I have had for years or at least possible answers. As always I was never sure who was who and who did what. Ms. Reichs sure knows ... Read more
