Mother Goose
Mother Goose

Review:This edition is a cheap photocopy of the text only of the "Original Volland Edition" and does not contain any illustrations! Most of the other reviews here are for the hardcover edition, which apparently includes illustrations. I was very disappointed that this was not more obvious. What a Rip-Off with a big R! I'm going to see what I can do to report this and/or return it. Read more

Bear Wants More (The Bear Books)
Bear Wants More (The Bear Books)

Review:This is a terrific sequel to Bear Snores On. The pictures are vibrant and appealing. The rhyming text is clever and whimsical and appropriate for children just learning how to talk through age 5-6. We love giving these two books as gifts and our son enjoys them as well. Read more

Memoirs of a Goldfish
Memoirs of a Goldfish

Review:My son brought this home from the school library (he's 4) and we also have a 1 year old. They both loved this book so much, I had to go out & buy a copy. I have never read a kids book that made me laugh out loud with each page. It is simply adorable, clever, and quite possibly my new favorite kids book. LOVE IT!! Read more

Review:What I love about this simple, yet powerful book is that it shows the reader that WE have the power to stop bullying. We don't have to be victims. I also love that the bully is eventually accepted and learns to "count" too. What a wonderfully told story that all ages can relate to. Highly recommended. Read more

My First ABC (My First Books)
My First ABC (My First Books)

Review:This has been an excellent introduction to the ABCs for my 23 month old. We often sing the ABC song before reading the book, and now he recognizes the first 3 letters of the alphabet. I don't expect him to associate the pictures with the letters just yet, but his vocabulary has expanded with the photos on each page.

I only wish that the book was in a larger format since there are sometimes so many pictures per page, though I don't think this distracts him. The size seems to be appropri... Read more

Blue Hat, Green Hat (Boynton on Board)

Review:My three year old with autism adores this book. He can read it himself. This book is a life saver for me as a parent. He can be in full blown meltdown and all I have to do is pull out this book or say blue hat green hat and he can't help but smile. Read more

Kindergarten, Here I Come!
Kindergarten, Here I Come!

Review:This is a great book for getting ready for kindergarten!! We normally only read out daughter 2 short board books (until she will choose 1 longer book) and this book doesn't fit into that category. Every page is something different they might encounter and it's WONDERFUL! You can sit and read it all at once or read a few pages every night and have your child ask questions, like we do. It even made me take note to ask her school a few questions as well. Highly informative, a great reminder and a c... Read more

I Like Bugs (Step-Into-Reading, Step 1)
I Like Bugs (Step-Into-Reading, Step 1)

Review:Fun read for story time and early readers. This book has nice colorful, detailed illustrations and introduces readers to various bugs through facts and pictures. This book is read and enjoyed daily. Now that it is summer, we spend time searching for and identifying some of the bugs in this book while playing in our yard, on walks and at the park.

I would have liked the book better if proper names or identification had been given/listed for the various bugs as well. Ex: Lady bugs are the o... Read more

Bears in the Night
Bears in the Night

Review:I ordered this book for my grandsons who live out of town. As I have other grandchildren nearby, I like to keep my own, old copy around. I was disappointed in the lesser quality of the book's construction, the thin paper. My old copy made it through 4 kids and is about 35 yrs. old - still on decent shape. The story, of course, is still great and very much loved! Read more
