Review:This is an extremely insightful book for anyone that is in recovery from addiction/alcoholism AND for anyone that works in the field of chemical dependency. The book explains very complex scientific information in a way that makes it accessible and understandable for the layman. Read more
Review:This is very informative and obviously a lot of research went into it. But, The Introduction is so convoluted I had to read it twice and It's still not clear. Once you get past the Introduction It's better except the author jumps all over the place and makes his ideas harder to follow. Read more

I should have smelled a rat when the first thing I read in chapter one was an apology for his choice of words in... Read more
Review:Great, great, great. I work with clients who deal with a lot of shame (whether or not they are initially aware of it) and I recommend this book. I love John Bradshaw, and would probably recommend anything written by him (although I have not fully read all of his books, yet). He's pretty solid. Read more
