Review:John Palmer's book is a quintessential addition to any brewer's library. It can guide a new brewer through the steps while giving a lot of useful information to more advances brewers.
My only criticism is that some times Palmer can go a little deep into the technical details (formulas, chemistry, etc) earlier in the book than I would have liked when I was just getting started. I feel like a higher level over view up front with more of the details to follow could have helped me when i was ... Read more
Review:The title is bit of an overstatement, you'll have to acquire a few other things. But the internet is such a great resource now with this as a starting point you really can salvage a lot of otherwise throwaway/too expensive to fix stuff. Many of these fixes are simple to do. Read more
Review:Reading "Last Train to Paradise" was a delight. Well researched and well written, I found the book to be both informative and a pleasure to read. My wife also read it and agrees with this assessment.
Henry Flagler's Florida undertakings are reasonably well known, but they are all the more amazing when one considers that they were the product of second career. The reader will be surprised to learn of the man's first and also highly productive first career. Read more
Review:Friends:
An interesting combination of the history of weather prediction and immigration from Europe to the Great Plains in the 1800s along with page turning facts of people freezing to death on the Great Plains within hours of seeming like a nice day....
L. Frank Baum, the author of " The Wizard of Oz " lived on the Great Plains and is included in this story. Some members of our family knew Frank Baum and they told us of how no one thought he would make anything of himself as he ... Read more
Review:Because of all the hype surrounding this book I hesitated a long while before finally deciding to read it. Well, I can now say that I was pleasantly surprised. It is a remarkable book that must be appreciated on its own merits, despite the grave prejudices it may have caused to some individuals. Many people were deeply offended when they read how they, or others, had been portrayed by Watson. In fact very few were willing to endorse his personal views. Including his closest collaborators. It has... Read more
Review:Ok first off the actual book is in outstanding condition, no bends or tears or anything (i'm very picky about that) so that's why i'm giving the product 5/5. the content of this book is probably the most dry, boring, and frankly useless thing I've ever laid eyes on. I have to read this for a class and it's a STRUGGLE. If you enjoy science to an unnatural degree and you love reading three chapters of a man complaining about the people he works with for no reason then this is the book for you. the... Read more
Review:Fareed Zakaria provides history and the insight needed to understand where we are and how we got here. Without that insight you cannot best understand where we are going. I believe he is spot on. It is time for us, Americans, to realize we are only a part of the whole. We are currently a big part of it but in the end it is the whole that matters. He is correct in that we failed by succeeding. The world learned what we wanted to teach them. We succeeded. Now they are our competition. If ... Read more
Review:A great sequel to his first book, giving updated information on research and oxygen products. Explains why reactive oxygen is the cornerstone of health. Oxygen, peroxide and ozone are not patentable, so you won't see any comercials on TV to ask your doctor. Perhaps most revealing is the fact that ozone insuffilations are as effective as intravenous ozone at prurifying the body. With all the craze over trans-dermal applications, I am surprised that he omitted Dr. Kahn's peroxide solution: 1 oz fo... Read more
Review:This book is full of fascinating material. The source is channeled, so for many that is not credible, but I found the words to resonate with my inner understanding. I enjoyed it and found it valuable. Read more
