The High Season: A Novel
The High Season: A Novel

Review:After reading Judy Blundell's YA novel, What I Saw and How I Lied, I was eager to read her new novel for adults, The High Season. So, I was very happy to win a copy from Bookish First.

The High Season is a good summer read in part because it takes place during the summer and the season really plays a role in the plot. While the main story focuses on Ruthie and the drama surrounding the rental of her family's home, there is a large cast of characters with intersecting story lines.

The New York Times bestseller perfect for fans of A. J. Finn’s The Woman in the Window

Review:A young artist returns to a summer camp, in position as an art teacher, where fifteen years prior she was traumatized when her cabin mates went missing mysteriously, never to be seen again. In a nutshell, that's the story - mostly a standard mystery, though perhaps a touch in the thriller genre. The story follows Emma as she conquers her fears of returning to camp and her determination to discover what happened to her friends that fateful summer long ago. However, stirring up long-buried memorie... Read more

The Space Between Us
The Space Between Us

Review:The Space Between Us is easily one of my favorite reads of the year for good reason.

Beginning off with Charlie and her dad moving to a new town, she knows no one and has no friends. That all changes when a boy named Asher defends her from a boy who was throwing rocks at her. It takes some time, but they become best friends. As with most relationships, the dynamic of theirs begins to change as they grow older and new feelings start to emerge.
I won't ruin the story with spoilers. You n... Read more

Women in Sunlight: A Novel
Women in Sunlight: A Novel

Review:I liked parts of this book very much, other parts were too jumpy from character to character. There were too many characters. It was work to follow who was doing what. That said, it was worth the work. The character of Margaret, the only one who wasn't present, was the most readable and clear. The story is unlikely, but offers a dream of what could happen if we are brave, lucky, and have money. Read more

Review:The first book was brilliant and this one is just as beautifully written!
The author duo truly know how to keep you on your toes and up past dawn just to see what happens!
Over all great character building, dialogue and storyline! I think what truly separates there Beautiful series is that
the characters are more realistic and less "fantasy cinderella" types. So if you're looking for something with a little
