How-to & Home Improvements
Review:Recently, I moved home to assist with my disabled parents. In that move, two houses were combined into one. Because of the short amount of time between my lease ending and having to move, everything just got shoved into the garage and other free space. You know the old adage - I'll just get to it later. Well later has lead to some serious stress about where to go now. To try and make some headway, I decided to purchase a book. Something to try and give me a starting point since I am seriously ov... Review:When I started gardening almost three years ago, I also started listening to some podcasts. Those two interests combined when I found Melissa K. Norris ([...]). I learned many gardening tips, food preservation tips and, very importantly, seed-saving tips. I couldn’t have learned to save tomato seeds the right way without her.
When I found out she was writing a book, I added it to my Amazon cart right away – four months before the release date. I am so glad I did.

Review:This book is a must-have for serious gardeners and those that live off the land. It shows you how to make your own root cellar from scratch, or how to convert a small room into a food storage room.
This book isn't just about how-to store, but also WHAT TO GROW. Not everything is best for long term storage, only certain types of particular veggies can be stored, and this book tells you what you need to grow. Read more

Review:I have really enjoyed this book! I have no problems with the author's liberal use of words that some readers might object to, and for my taste they just add to the in-your-face truth telling. I am trying to think of as many people as I can who also need this book to improve their lives. Her concept for using "20/10s" might make the difference between success and failure for some people. If a family friendly version were available I would make sure some of my younger friends and relatives got... Read more
Review:Living the Farm Sanctuary Life is all about living compassionately and provides the information and tools you need to do so. Through this book, Gene Bauer and Gene Stone have done an excellent job presenting important information in a compelling, non-preachy way. Plus, the recipes are wonderful! I had the opportunity to test one of them before the book was published and the dish received rave reviews from family and friends. I can't wait to test them all!

Review:I bought this book when my baby was born, excited to give her a great start in physical and mental development. I was greatly dissapointed, however. I have since done a lot of research about baby development, and learned about the Feldenkrais Method. I read Anat Baniel's book Kids Beyond Limits: The Anat Baniel Method for Awakening the Brain and Transforming the Life of Your Child With Special Needs and ca... Read more
Review:Kerri offers a gentle but incredibly effective approach to realigning perceptions on items/things that aren't serving you anymore. I've finally been able to make decisions about highly-charged sentimental items as well as items I thought were of value but were just hanging in my closet, making me feel guilty about myself. The book is fun to read, easy to digest, very practical. As an aside, her Hay House teachings and online course offerings are amazing. Read more
