Review:Now & Forever is the second book in Mary Connealy's Wild at Heart series. It brings Shannon Wilde and Matthew Tucker together when Shannon sees "Tucker" getting attacked by a grizzly bear and attempts to rescue him by throwing him and herself over a cliff into the Slaughter River. This river is one that no one has ever made it out alive, but Shannon and Tucker do, which is the beginning of a new relationship between the two of them. There are some strange things that start to happen on Sh... Read more
Review:Fire & Ice is the third book in Mary Connealy's Wild at Heart series. In this book, it is Bailey Wilde's turn for a little romance. When her married sisters move away, Bailey is quite lonely during the long winter months at her homestead. When Gage Coulter makes a proposal after a long and lonely winter, Bailey agrees.
There is so much more I could say, but I don't want to give away too much from the book. I really enjoyed the interactions between Bailey and Gage. They are both s... Read more
Review:Angela is a 4 th grade teacher nearing retirement at Christmas break. Her husband passed away in the last year and she has no children. She is adrift and mourning.
On the way to a friends house on Christmas Eve she runs into a blizzard and the possibilities of a new life.
A sweet story of a period of life most people find themselves in but unprepared as life throws you curveballs.
well written, sweet, sad and happy..a short story that packed a punch by feeling attached to Angela an... Read more
Review:There are two things Elijah Goldsmith does not lack. The first is money. The second is ambition. It is not enough, in one year, to graduate high school and begin college at Princeton. He mixes in one more thing: Becoming a spy.
Only he doesn’t know, when he goes to Washington in the cold beginning of the year, what it really means to be a spy – what they do, what they want from him. He doesn’t know who the beautiful, talented girl training beside him really is. And he certainly doesn’t kn... Read more
Review:This was a really enjoyable story. If you are already a Barritt fan, you won't be disappointed. The premise vaguely reminded me of her first Carolina Moon book- a famous person coming to a small town to find out what happened to her father, but it was far from a reproduction. If you are new to this author, definitely take the chance and give this one a try. Plenty of suspense and romance.
I love the new world of characters Barritt has introduced. Joey is quirky, but likable and is surrounded... Read more
Review:When God Made Light is beautifully illustrated with a message that shines as bright as the light it explores. The book will captivate children with simple, melodic copy that delights in their childhood, confronts their fears, and whispers rather loudly that they are uniquely created to shine. As Sally Lloyd-Jones States, “Stories unmask us.” And in his second children’s book, Matthew Paul Turner certainly removes any mask of doubt in his ability to pen stories that will undoubtedly become staple... Review:THE LAST SIN EATER by Francine Rivers
Francine Rivers has written an engaging, believable story of how one evil man can fool so many people. All the characters are presented in such a realistic setting that one has no problem understanding what has happened to an entire community. It is also a story of how God reaches into the lives of people to bring His truth to them. I would definitely recommend this book to readers who have no fear of knowing the truth about one form of evil. Read more
Review:I was pleasantly surprised with how entertaining and original the storyline was. Enjoyed the twists and turns the author brought into the experiences of the resurrected. I was also pleased that the resurrected included people of all race and religion even though the focus was on Jewish beliefs. Amusing and a page turner. Even the ending was a pleasant surprise. A very good read indeed. Read more
Review:I enjoyed reading this book. The little boy was endearing to me; Levi was a man to be admired, with his high morals and extreme patience with the mother. She could have used more counseling to move ahead with her life, but she was not ready to give up her grieving until the situation was drastic. Read more
Review:Liz has written another well written clean christian western romance. It was hard to put down and it had me laughing and crying. Parts of the story line was a little rushed, but it is great for a quick read book. I would definitely recommend it. Their was a few errors but it didn't hurt the story any. Read more
