Children's Books
Review:My sons love Silverstein. His books are pretty much what they want to hear at bedtime. I think Shel Silverstein (from an adult's perspective) was a very multi-dimensional, interesting, intellectual, creative and talented man. He's a bit edgier than "Dr Suess" in the sense that some of his poems don't have very happy endings - but in our case, his books have stimulated our son's minds to think outside of the box. Read more
Review:My (almost) 3 year old loooooves this book! He doesn't get scared easily and loves ghosts, pirates and all things spooky. If your child gets scared easily, just look at the cover and read the title, it probably isn't a good book for them. When I first read it my first thought was "What the *heck* is this?? How is this a book for kids??" Especially about the girl named Jenny whos head falls off.. But for some reason my son thought that was funny and that's his favourite story in the book.

Review:These were my favorite scary stories to read as a kid. I recently pulled these books off the shelf and gave it a quick read, not as scary as when i was a kid, but it sure was fun reading it to my 3 daughters and giving them a taste of "scary stories." But i'm not going to lie, the artwork in these books still terrifies me.
They are now the books I take with us when we go on our family camping trips. reading the stories around the camp fire is nostalgic for me and terrifying for them, it's... Read more
Review:Beautiful illustrations! The actually quality of the book is very nice as well. However, the pictures create a way out there description of immigration. I get the gist of the story, but for the most part it was hard to follow and I lost interest. My children had no interest in it at all. Read more
Review:Again, our one year old grandson likes turning the big chuncky pages. He likes the animal sounds, but there's not many animals in the book for the money. The touch and feel sections are a little better than the trucks book. Overall, not too bad. Read more
Review:I did not expect this to be a mini coloring book, but it is. My daughter likes this, and it's great for her to carry around. She's 1 so it's the perfect size. The illustrations are nice too, and there is lots to color. However, if I had known it wasn't a full-size coloring book, I probably wouldn't have bought it. Read more
Review:I checked this book out so many times from the school library when I was little, that the librarian asked my parents to buy me a copy so that other kids could have a chance to check it out. The cats , by far, were my favorite part, especially MAX! If you know a child that likes animals, this is the book to get them!! It's fun, has great pictures, great humor, and is just my all around favorite book of my childhood! Read more
Review:We bought this for our 7 year old granddaughter. She is a good reader and very smart but does not really like to sit and read whole stories. This beautifully illustrated book is just right--find a subject and turn to that page and all kinds of interesting facts are there to read and talk about. We learn something every time we read from the book. Read more
Review:This book (or what I thought was a book) was only 1 page with a short poem on it! for $3.99 it was a rip-off. Not happy with this purchase. People should be aware of what they are getting. I expected at least a 5 to 10 page story book...not happy that I wasted my money and because it is a digital purchase there is no returns. Product descriptions should be more specific. Read more
Review:If you like books that grab at your heartstrings, then this one is for you. I initially bought one for my son, and then I bought one for my grandma (his great grandma). For my toddler son, it brings hope to his long life ahead. For my 93 year old grandma, it is my message to her that I wish she had 50 more years to live because she had such a beautiful life. She is the one person I look up to most, and it pains me to see her life slowly decline. This isn't meant to be a sad review, but more as a... Read more
