Review:Another wonderful book by Staci Stallings...tremendous character development...real- life, difficult situations handled with grace. I love and am inspired by the depth of spiritual wisdom in Mirror Mirror and found myself highlighting and bookmarking frequently. Keep it up, Staci. Read more
Review:I really enjoyed this book and the premise behind it. It started fairly slow but once it got going it was very happy d to put down. The end was the best for me with the realization that each of us are created by a loving and good God, that family should come before career, and that caring for others helps us see good. The characters in this book are believable and I'm looking forward to reading the next book. Read more
Review:I loved every minute spent reading this delightful book. Having grown up around the ocean but now living in the Midwest, The Red Door Inn fed my deep desire to be by the sea once more. I could hear the crashing of the waves and smell the salty air.
The story is complex, with deep wounds that need healing. Johnson's magic touch kept me turning the page again and again.
Now that I've reached the last page I'm longing for more. Sigh... Read more
Review:I seriously wish that Merryweather existed in real life. If it did, I'd move there in a heartbeat and never leave. (Which says something, because I love my town.)
Wade possesses a gift for creating and maintaining a sense of place. I immediately felt like I stood right next to each character as the story progressed. I saw what they saw, smelled the baked goods (chocolate in the morning? Absolutely), looked out over the town. Out of the way, Gilmore Girls' Stars Hollow -- Merryweather... Read more
Review:Yes it all wrapped up nicely, although a little too quickly at the end, I found the first half overly filled with non-stop silly conversation. Found it hard to connect with the main character at all. Will try another teacup novella and see if it's just this first one or the writer just not being my cup of tea. Read more
Review:Jody Hedlund writes quality fiction with incredible spiritual lessons and Together Forever is a prime example of what she can accomplish with her pen. This is the second book in her orphan train series.
Marianne Neumann is looking for her younger sister and two babies who had been left in hers and her sisters care. She takes a job as a placement agent on an orphan train taking children from New York to Illinois.
Andrew "Drew" Brady is the other agent on this train and has taken t... Read more
Review:A mystery with a woman struggling in a mans world, to make ends meet, and get over loss of family and the aftermath of war. A Chtidtian viewpoint thrown combined to make this a story I didn't put down until finished. Thank you for an enjoyable read. Read more
Review:I found this book to be very bland, too predictable and unbelievable.
The premise was not believable. The complication at the end was totally unbelievable in the way it was changed in a heart beat rather than resolved over time as it would have to have been. It left the Dev complication unresolved and the injured person without a hint of what the outcome would be. The set up for the next two books is what is obvious.
So many obvious issues left hanging and the abrupt "ending" classifies... Read more
Review:Now & Forever is the second book in Mary Connealy's Wild at Heart series. It brings Shannon Wilde and Matthew Tucker together when Shannon sees "Tucker" getting attacked by a grizzly bear and attempts to rescue him by throwing him and herself over a cliff into the Slaughter River. This river is one that no one has ever made it out alive, but Shannon and Tucker do, which is the beginning of a new relationship between the two of them. There are some strange things that start to happen on Sh... Read more
