Review:My main feeling when I read this book was sadness at seeing such a formerly fine author turn out such a lackluster book. It really deserves only one star, but I gave it two because I know Ms. Wells was battling Lyme Disease while writing The Crowning Glory of Calla Lily Ponder.
I loved her first two books, Little Alters Everywhere and The Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood. Her third book, Ya-Yas in Bloom was just passable.
The Crowning Glory of Calla Lily Ponder does have on... Read more
Review:This was my first Lalla Bains novel. I found the writing a little awkward and the plot was disjointed at times. It was an okay read but I can't say I am thirsting to read another Lalla Bains novel after reading this one. Read more
Review:A sensitive presentation of the diversity of cultural difference, but revealing the commonality of human warmth, compassion and humour. As always the intrigue of characters and intensity of plot make this book a satisfying, enjoyable read. Read more
Review:I have always enjoyed books by Kathy Reichs. Having spent time in Montreal it is exciting to hear more about the city and inner workings. I don't know the Southern States well so that is very interesting. I am captivated by the crime scenes.
I will have to say that I prefer her books to the TV productions where I tend to get lost with all the personalities. Read more

Review:I was completely immersed in Leigh Ann's and Knox's story. The author did a wonderful job bringing these two protagonists to life. The writing was clear and concise, with just the right balance of description and inner thoughts.
I will gladly read more of Ms. Canon's work in the future. Read more
