Easy and Wholesome Meals to Cook - and Go
Easy and Wholesome Meals to Cook - and Go

Review:I am very disappointed in this book. It is misleading to show pictures of a recipe but yet there are no pictures of the recipes included in the book. Even the Beef stir fry recipe that was used in the description didn't have pictures of it in the book! This is a very basic beginner recipe book that spends time describing cooking tools. For example, a cooking sheet! I would consider this a beginner cookbook but with the lack of pictures I feel it would be frustrating to use. No new ideas for reci... Read more

Dining In: Highly Cookable Recipes
Dining In: Highly Cookable Recipes

Review:This book is fabulous! I have already made four recipes from it, and, seriously, once you understand what you're doing the cook-time is on average under 30 minutes. I love how straightforward, clear, and direct Roman is in her instructions. She really lets you know what things can be switched out or changed up and what things you really should put in a little extra effort to make or stock in your kitchen. I feel like I'm learning techniques to expand my cooking skills and not just recipes. If yo... Read more

An Apple-to-Zucchini Celebration of Impromptu Cooking
An Apple-to-Zucchini Celebration of Impromptu Cooking

Review:This quickly has become my favorite and most recommended cookbook. I have a middle school age son, and love to hand this to him and have him pick out a couple meals for us each week. The photo presentation of each and every dish is so inspiring, it makes you want to eat your veggies. I love the way it is organized alphabetically by the main ingredient as well, and lets you know what is in season when at the begining of each section. It's user friendly, and a great inspiration to eat beautifu... Read more

The French Laundry Cookbook (The Thomas Keller Library)
The French Laundry Cookbook (The Thomas Keller Library)

Review:Thomas Keller is the number one chef in this country. Having had the experience of eating at French Laundry and, myself, graduating from Cordon Bleu, this book could not be better. The recipes are wonderous and the photography is amazing. NOT a book for beginners! But hell, after you've mastered the kitchen reward yourself with this book! Read more

550 Recipes For Every Day. Healthy and Delicious Meals. Simple and Clear Instructions.
550 Recipes For Every Day. Healthy and Delicious Meals. Simple and Clear Instructions.

Review:Annoying to use, and very poorly organized. Very short recipes that are repeated in various forms with a minor ingredient change, all about 1 page or less in length, and no rhyme or reason about organization of the recipes. You can't lookup ingredients, and every time you want to use this, you have to basically read the entire table of contents looking for a recipe. Read more

More Paleo Recipes for People Who Love to Eat - Well Fed 2
More Paleo Recipes for People Who Love to Eat - Well Fed 2

Review:Best paleo cookbook (apart from Well Fed 1), and really great cookbook all around. My nonpaleo people enjoy the recipes as well. Great, robust flavors and wonderful use of easy to find spices and ingredients. Flexibility of recipes makes the book at least 3x more valuable. This and the original are my two favorite cookbooks to date. Well done!! Read more

Bouchon Bakery (The Thomas Keller Library)
Bouchon Bakery (The Thomas Keller Library)

Review:Overall, a very good selection of recipes. Instructions are specific and easy enough to follow to yield great results. My only quibble is that there seems to be quite a bit of specialized equipment/ingredients with the recipes written for their specific use. Takes a bit of effort to adapt to whatever you have in the house, but not too bad. Read more
