Review:This is a comprehensive resource for those niggling questions that come up in daily life with a baby--"Is this rash something to be concerned about? How can I tell if he's eating enough? What milestones should she be meeting?"--especially when Dr. Internet gives you confusing info. It's easy to navigate with the table of contents and index and tells you when something can be treated at home (e.g. standard diaper rash) vs something that warrants an office visit (e.g. persistent diaper rash). Review:The recipies all have a very long ingrediant list and can be pretty complicated. I work alot and was hopping for somthing to just tell me what to eat while pregnet and a halfway simple way to do it. I only made the muffin recipies, they were good and was happy with how healthy they were but took alot of time and don't keep very well. Read more
Review:This books in really helpful in cutting all the info down to what a dad really wants to know. Unlike some other books geared to dad's, this is a serious discussion of the important role dads play without being patronizing Read more
Review:The recipes were good and easy, probably no combinations I couldn't have come up with on my own, but it was nice to have quantities/ratios spelled out for me. It was also nice in my sleep-deprived state to not have to try and come up with different combinations. I would definitely recommend this book for yourself or as a unique shower gift. Read more
Review:Great book sugested by a security consultant at work. Kind of scarry when you read about the risk our kids have, but good to have some ways to protect them. The author call it intuition but I call it the Gift of the Holy Ghost. Read more
Review:Great book for counselors to help kids cope with cliques, even though it is written to parents. I have used it in counseling sessions with the girls in the cliques, as well as their targets, to raise their awareness. It has helped change behavior already. It is the best book on girl bullying I have found. Read more
Review:Good supplement for treatment, but it would be even better with a little less "wordiness" and simpler explanations and more activity sheets/activities. Overall, good to have in your library if you're working with teens. Read more
Review:Sounded like an interesting book to read and perhaps share with my daughter who is off to college. I was disappointed. Book is boring and uninteresting. The one star is for the book design and artwork. Don't waste your money Read more
Review:Although this is in the children/teen section of the book store I believe it is a book written for all ages. Especially in today's America, this book is a reminder to stop the self obsession and be kind. One person being kind can have such an impact. We can change our culture one person at a time...one kindness at a time. Read more
