The Mathemagician's Guide to Lightning Calculation and Amazing Math Tricks
The Mathemagician's Guide to Lightning Calculation and Amazing Math Tricks

Review:I must say this Kindle book was a nice surprise - although the topic might discourage many people from browsing this book at all, I find the book to be very well written and appropriate for all audiences regardless of educational background. Formatting on the Kindle is overall acceptable, but with the occasional missing word or sub phrase, like in this example in Locations 2933-42 "Thus February 12, 1809, has and 14+14 = 0, so ..." Personal Space Camp
Personal Space Camp

Review:As a counselor, I use this book with younger children (ages 5-8 primarily). It has activities so the kids can move around as we read through the book. I certainly would not recommend this as a bedtime book, but it is a fun book to read together and talk about personal space and boundaries. It gives you a fun way to talk about these topics later on that doesn't sound like a lecture which I think parents always find very beneficial. Read more

My Mouth Is a Volcano Activity and Idea Book
My Mouth Is a Volcano Activity and Idea Book

Review:This book is absolutely fantastic. I'm going to school to be a teacher and am required to present full lessons to my cohort, addressing them as though they were my second grade students. I read this book during a quick mini-lesson on emotions. Everyone loved it! Nearly every one of my classmates has gone out and purchased this book to add to their classroom library. Read more

Student Packet by Novel Units - 20 - 000 Leagues Under the Sea

Review:Again, another title most people who have seen the movie instead of reading the novel first. I must admit the Disney version is a classic in and of itself but the book is so much better as is the case with most books made into movies. It is great read and should be enjoyed by children and adults alike. Read more

The Proven Path From Blank Page to Published Author
The Proven Path From Blank Page to Published Author

Review:Excellent book. I recommend it to anyone who already understands the logistics of publishing a book and needs support with the writing, designing and marketing. I am a self-published amazon best-selling author and will apply the awesome tools to further market my book, Discovering Your Why: A Journey to Wholeness. The only missing part was more detailed support on actually getting edited manuscript into publishing portal. Aside from that AMAZING, INSIGHTFUL, AWESOME! Read more

HESI A2 Test Review for the Health Education Systems
HESI A2 Test Review for the Health Education Systems

Review:Great boom that had me very well prepped. Note: deducted one star because in the back toward the summary areas there are a few obscure paragraphs that say you might also want to study these processes (biology section) those processes turned out to be very important.. At least the basic understanding of each was. I feel that should have been better presented. I do recommend the book! Read more

I Miss You: A First Look at Death
I Miss You: A First Look at Death

Review:These books are never easy, as the situation that surrounds them is filled with hurt and longing. However, they also work wonders and make the complicated concept of loss and death so much easier for children to understand. My daughter lost her father at only 6 months old, so she doesnt remember him. As she is getting older (5 now) she asks more questions and is starting to experience the void. It is hard, but this book makes it easier and more approachable to talk about. Thank you for helping m... Read more

How to Heal Your Childhood Wounds and Build Trust - and Self-Esteem
How to Heal Your Childhood Wounds and Build Trust - and Self-Esteem

Review:I definitely appreciate the fact that an author finally recognized the issue of having a borderline parent. However, you can tell the author is simply a good author...that's it. She has no personal experience to speak from nor is she a therapist of any sort...at least this is the impression I get. Reducing signs/symptoms, outcomes, probable causes and such in bullet points kinda reduces it to a cold or flu. I found other books to be more helpful HOWEVER this would be a great book if you're j... Read more

Chocolate War: Novel-Ties Study Guide
Chocolate War: Novel-Ties Study Guide

Review:This book is considered a classic of young adult literature, so we read it as part of my young adult literature class. I had a hard time getting through it. The plot of the book is actually pretty simple: there's a chocolate sale at a Catholic boys' school to raise funds, and Jerry refuses to participate in the sale. Meanwhile, the Vigils, the school's secret society, bully Jerry psychologically and physically. I was not very interested in the story, and I couldn't relate to the characters very... Read more
