Occult & Paranormal
Review:Its sad that Llewellyn still publishes this trash. SRW is as problematic as they come, mishmashing barely-cited, practically-plagiarized work with rumors, misinformation, and her own dogma (which is as harmful and exclusionary as any conventional religion's BS). She lifts content from other authors as well as faiths and cultures, and puts it all under the label of witchcraft. Or is it Wicca? Oh. Right. She doesnt know the difference.
Please don't buy this book. Do yourself a favor and pic... Read more
Review:The story was disjointed, bouncing around in time. Evidently the Wardens did wrong, but it was only hinted at. The quotes at the beginning and end of each chapter did not add anything. Lengthy expositions on topics that were obliquely related in many cases did nothing to enhance the story. This story needs to be rewritten in chronological order putting the reader in the experience not wondering why the author is taking the reader through a labyrinth that obscures the gist of the story. I bo... Read more
Review:I liked that the main principles of Hermetics were laid out in an organized way. If you are an advanced student of spirituality and understand works like what Neville Giddard wrote about, you can read this and understand how it's all so true. Read more
Review:I believe this Sheperd "pastor", should be out proclaiming the gospel. Spending time as a critic is wasting valuable time when time is running out.
God gives us free will so that we can make up our minds. Let the unsaved be shocked into searching out their salvation, and the saved can search for fruit. Read more
Review:The Amityville Horror is a 1977 non-fiction horror novel written by Jay Anson.
This is a horrifying, yet very interesting and amazingly written book. It is about the real life haunting of the Lutz family who moved into a house that they said was cursed with an evil force. After 28 days, the family fled in terror with nothing but the clothes on their backs.
This book has tons of terrifying things that happen. George and Kathy see the face of a demon with it's head blown half off in ... Read more
Review:I've been reading books from Amazon for years and this is the first time I've bothered to write a review but I liked the book so much I thought I should. Thoughtful and well written. Provides a really interesting glimpse into another culture's beliefs and experiences. There is also enough material in this book for two books so I really felt I got my money's worth. Read more
Review:Steven Lachance writes like a high school girl trying desperately to scare her friends. Sentence tense jumps from present to past, sometimes within the same sentence, and punctuation seems sprinkled randomly through the prose. Plus, since he links his story to Ed and Lorraine Warren, the crown royalty of charlatans, you can be assured he is a fraud looking for a quick buck. Read more
Review:Signed by both authors! Required reading for people who really want to know what's up. Explains a lot of mysteries. Uncomfortable, on occasion, as the truth often is. Very glad to have found this. Remember how the feds tested nuclear fallout on the unsuspecting citizens of Nevada, how they tested LSD on unsuspecting military personnel? This is much worse. You'll never hear about this on the news. It's happening and it's bad. At some point this will all come out publicly in a big way, pr... Read more
Review:This book is amazing. It is filled with true life stories of experiences of loved ones and heaven. I worked in the funeral business for 5 years and was privileged to have families share similar stories. Another excellent book on the same line is 90 Minutes In Heaven. I would recommend this book. It is very healing to anyone that has lost a loved one. Read more
Review:I love Josh Gates' quirky commentaries on the show and he does definitely deliver that in this book. I particularly liked the chapter about his worst vacation ever. I bookmarked that on my Kindle and have read that out loud to many people, with laughter while yet cringing for him and his traveling companion. However, I had hoped for more of his take on some of the paranormal things that have happened on the show. I was anticipating his firsthand account of what happened in the haunted forest... Read more
