Review:This book was as amazing as I was expecting it to be. As an omnivore, I found all the recipes to be accessible, inspiring and delicious! Im making a serious attempt at moving towards a vegan lifestyle, and this book has certainly made that journey more exciting. Im so excited to see what Jenne comes up with next!! Read more
Review:I’ve cooked nearly every recipe in this book and nearly all of them are perfection. Great meals worth not so hard to find ingredients. I do cut back on the mount of oil used on each recipe but that’s no biggie to me. I find the intro and notations for each recipe quite useful. If you are vegan or just trying to get into this lifestyle slowly this book is a must. Hope you like it as much as we do. Read more
Review:I did recipe testing for this book, so I have cooked a LOT of these recipes. They are easy for home cooks to follow, use primarily ingredients people (at least vegans) will already have at home, and are accompanied by so many beautiful pictures! The pictures are what really make me excited to cook a recipe and I'm happy that there are so many. My favorite recipes are the king pao lentils, especially when made using the date-sweetened teriyaki sauce, and the peanut butter blender cake. I made... Read more
Review:Thug Kitchen 101 is my 2nd Thug Kitchen book and I love them all. Recipes are fresh and innovative and very easy to follow. Techniques and terminology that might not be common knowledge are thoroughly explained. Photographs and funny captions of both the completed dishes and California landmarks guide you through the book. I'm not a Vegan but these dishes are tasty, creative and relatively nutritious. Creamy Squash Mac & Cheese with Hot Sauce & Breadcrumbs along with the Dan Dan Noodles... Read more
Review:My husband has a passion for bodybuilding and just recently decided to compete. A struggle for me as a mother and his supportive wife is cooking dinner that everyone likes. Your book is great for all of us. I'm a fitness freak too so I love your lean recipes and my daughter eats everything as well. Keep up the good work! Read more
Review:I was satisfied with this book and so was the person that we gave it to. It is good for suggestions to start off on a plan to loose weight but you must understand that you have to be willing to change your life style if your want to be successful in any weight loss program. There is no quick fix that will magically do it for you. Read more
Review:i bought this book because I wanted to learn how to eat healthier and improve some problems i have with my digestion. So far, I have tried the Winter Digestive tea (now a habit of every night after dinner), Winter Rejuvenating tonic, Huevos Rancheros (among our top recipes to cook!), Warming tomato dal, everyday creamed grain cereal, and ghee fried apples. The ghee is the only recipe that i also needed to look for a video to make sure i did it correctly. i also enjoyed making my own Sweet Spices... Read more
Review:I enjoyed learning Tia's struggle with her health and how her love for food help heal her body. I'm enjoying reading this book because of the recipe as well. I have been recently diagnosed with Gastroparesis and I need to learn how to make some tasty recipes, but this book, will be more for my family and not me. I would have preferred her to give us a little more of the non meat recipes. I am a meat eater, but would like to learn how to cook some foods that are still tasty but without meat. At t... Read more
Review:I have lost weight easily with the diet, there are things I don't agree with, but the diet was written in 2002 and research has updated a few things. I did not find a lot to help to me in the cookbook but haven't fixed many recipes. Read more
