Review:If you only buy one parenting book, buy this one. Thorough, excellent, thoughtful and well written. We live by these principles and have a very happy, calm, self contained, great sleeping almost 2 year old. Love Dr. Sears! Read more
Review:Excellent content. I would enjoy the book a lot more if it were printed in a pure white background and with a minimalist design that is in tune with Stillness and Awareness of the formless dimension, rather than a highly decorative style reminiscent of children's books. Maybe I'll give my copy to something who enjoys that kind of look. Read more

Review:The presents an eight point program for effective meditation. His program demonstrates the fundamentals of a good meditation regimen. I am not convinced that this particular style is the best for everyone but there are aspects that can be used to enhance an existing practice. I found the section on mantras interesting and it was refreshing that the author did not insist on any particular number of repetitions. It was truly amazing to see these 'plain' Ja... Read more
Review:Not at all what I expected. A relatively quick and engaging read with numerous useful insights on dealing with the non-positive side of our life. " In the failure condition, the optimists were far more likely to write off failure as inevitable. Framing an event as an inescapable failure makes it easier to digest." Should be more than a little for most everyone to take away from this book. One of the few of this genre worth shelving for a reread. Read more
Review:although this is for SCD--which is trademarked and copyrighted so that publications are consistent with the SCD guidelines--I found a lot of recipes in here included ingredients that truly will not work for an individual who has health problems and underlying intestinal issues including dairy and certain sweeteners, even saccharine. If you need to restore intestinal health, then these key items truly are not on your "good foods" list. There are a lot of good recipes in here, but a person with in... Read more
