Review:The writing flows beautifully. Chapter 3 was memorable. The structure--defining what constitutes a miracle and then the second half of the book marshaling evidences of miracle--is appealing and helpful. Read more
Review:Interesting read if you're a fence sitter looking how you might integrate Christain faith and Buddhism. I read this book because I am looking how to justify Gods love and compassion and the extreme suffering in the would. This book is a good starting place to understand how Buddhist views and Christian views are different in relation to suffering and compassion for humanity. Read more
Review:Living Buddha, Living Christ is one of my top ranked "spiritual" books. Hanh does a very excellent job of explaining the
beautiful and amazing unity of Buddhism and Christianity....very deep and insightful. He also is able to express
what Christianity is all about even more deeply and better than a number of Christian writers which in and of itself
demonstrates how our spiritual selves are more alike than different in nature....a real wake up call for all of us!

Review:Bulfinch's Mythology as long been one of my favorite collections of myth. However, this edition from Seven Treasures Publications (ISBN 978-1440426308) is AWFUL! It looks like it was formatted with Microsoft Word by someone who has no business with such tasks. The print is cramped and the page header and footer is barely set off of the page type. The Glossary was not professionally edited and pales in quality compared to the Avenal Edition of Bulfinch's Mythology.

Review:As the author requests at the beginning of the book, this book will only help those that approach its message and tips with an open mind. Naturally skeptical, it took a few chapters before I was able to stop silently criticizing the flowery "zen" language and new-age metaphors and actually hear the message being delivered.
Once I did, however, it was well worth it. As I stated in the review title, the author offers simple but solid tips and concepts to improve the mental aspects of your g... Read more
Review:Price. Prompt service and a good product as described. It was chosen for my Methodist Church Library bought from its memorial/honorarium fund to celebrate the 138 years of the Church-wide program to start a University in each of the 48 states. A further thanks to Amazon for their part. R.D. Messer, M.D. Retired. Read more
Review:This book is a classic! Even though this book has been around for a while and I have read it many times, it never gets old or outdated. The wisdom that this book brings is priceless. I will always have a copy of this book somewhere in my collection! Read more
Review:If you've been wondering about your purpose or calling in life, get this book! Stephen Cope walks us through the ancient Hindu spiritual text, the Bhagavad Gita, and puts it into easy-to-understand terms. I love that he uses examples of famous people's searches for their own purpose to illustrate each point. These range from Jane Goodall to Robert Frost to Susan B Anthony. It's a terrific summary of a text that's otherwise (for me) hard to read.
The principles that he talks about are all ... Read more
Review:This book is for anyone who considers himself a conservative (and if you have a problem with the pronoun i just used that just proves you are NOT one). But I warn you, it is tough medicine. And much like that Ipecac syrup often featured in cartoons back when cartoons where violent and racist and awesome, many conservatives are going to retch and reject this.
They shouldn't. I loved William F Buckley and followed National Review Online all through my early 30's. Spent hours and hours (when I s... Read more
Review:Vox Day's SJWAL accurately explains the method and intent of SJW targeting. For this reason the book would be very valuable to anyone trying to understand, avoid or mitigate the consequences of such an attack. He also provides examples of such attacks that have occurred to both prominent individuals and even himself. Some of these people were actually SJWs themselves which highlights the fact that no one is fully immune to their targeting. Read more
