My Daily Bread
My Daily Bread

Review:Commonly perjorative and accusatory toward the reader, speaking as God in the 1st person. He often lists how bad the reader is and in sore need of repentance. While that is likely true, Is that really how God would speak to his beloved child who is coming to his Father for daily advice, or in my case as a glorified bedtime story? I doubt it. I think He would speak to uplift and strengthen, express joy and love, not beat down into further submission. Read more

Years later, I discovered that Miller had written something new, BLUE LIKE JAZZ and bought it the first chance I could. BLUE LIKE JAZZ became a phenomena of sorts and has helped Miller... Read more

Velvet Elvis: Repainting the Christian Faith

Review:This is a thought-provoking book that I could not put down.
I completed the entire book during a long flight, when I had expected to be sleeping. I continue to look back at various chapters. It is a wonderful book for someone who wants to think. It is not for someone who wants to be purely entertained. For those on your gift list who enjoy expanding their mind, this is an excellent gift. I will be buying many more for gifts and to hand out to friends. Read more
