Diets & Weight Loss
Review:I really enjoyed this book. You just have to know it's not for weight loss as it is more for a life style change onto eating healthy. The diet it's self isn't easy and take a lot of work because you have to pretty much make all your food. But you'll be happy in the end Read more
Review:Stay away. This is not affiliated with the bestselling Whole30 in any way. Clearly yet another plagaristic cookbook title that plays on bestselling cookbooks and acts like they are affiliated, which they are not. Read more
Review:I ordered the kindle version— silly me. I was hoping to look through the pictures for inspiration... the kindle version had a table of contents and I had to click on every possibility to see a photo before deciding. Time consuming and Tiring! I ended up getting recipes from elsewhere. Disappointing experience with this book (kindle)— don’t recommend. Read more
Review:Thankfully this isn’t a book that tells you how to lose 30lbs in 30 days – what it does do is tell what dieting can ACTUALLY do to your body (eventual weight gain) and overall health and gives you realistic ideas about why and what we eat from someone who has done scientifically rigorous research. The best part of the book is while imparting all this important information from the scientific world – it does so in a completely readable, entertaining, and funny way. It’s informative, interesting... Read more
Review:I had dropped sugar and simple carbohydrates from my diet a few years ago. When I do eat sugar I try to keep it under 10grams so I'm not really sure why I bought this book. However if you are a person who eats sugary products, sweet drinks or soda, and consumes a lot of simple carbohydrates then I would DEFINITLY recommend this book to lose weight. Once you eliminate the foods "Zero Sugar Diet" recommends a person should drop a good 25 pounds. My son who was not over weight stopped drinking soda... Read more
Review:Purchased 2 copies as gifts. Both recipients were delighted at the flavorful recipes included. When you have to limit your salt intake it can be difficult to find recipes that not only look good but taste good as well. Worth the price. Read more
Review:I really like this book. It has dozens of recipes for a ketogenic diet that are tasty and practical, and without a lot of exotic ingredients. Great everyday cooking. I have only tried a few so far but they have been great. And it has given me a springboard for ideas to create my own dishes. Don't hesitate to buy this if you are trying to adhere to a keto or low carb lifestyle. Read more
Review:"Jordan was diagnosed at age 19 with Crohn's-Colitis, an "incurable" inflammatory disease of the bowel. His weight plummeted from 180 lbs to 104 lbs at a height of 6'1" and he was bedridden for almost two years. As in most chronic conditions, Jordan's immune system began to fail. He suffered from intestinal parasites, severe candida, extreme anemia, food allergies, diabetes, excruciating abdominal pain, chronic diarrhea, poor circulation, liver problems, chemical sensitivities, chronic fatigue, ... Review:This book really works. I have been type 2 diabetic for 13 years, on insulin for 6, the program in this book has lowered my insulin use dramatically, and improved my A1c by nearly 1.5 points. Follow it! Read more
Review:Very interesting and the author gave excellent explanations of why she wrote the book and how the gut and brain are so closely related. Too bad the title could keep some from picking it up. Her advice and information is great for anyone wanting to improve their body and mind. Read more
