These recipes all sound delicious! I would recommend this to all my friends who like to cook. The cheese recipes are definitely worth getting the book. Also, the pizza recipes sound fabulous, I can't wait to try them.

So far, I have made the Balsamic Baked Pears with Blue Cheese, Meatloaf with Ketchup Glaze, and the Pan Fried Gnocchi with Acorn squash with basil/sage pesto. All three of these dishes were amazing!!!! I am not a vegan or vegetarian, but I like to incorporate healthier options into my diet. I can not wait to try more things from this book. Next on my list is Potato Saurekraut Soup for this weekend's cold storm. I just pulled a Seitan Mushroom Roast from the Keepin It Kind blog out of the oven and it smells amazing. (Recipe on keepinitknd dot com) I highly recommended this book to my hair stylist who is Vegan. If you are looking for amazing food - buy this book. You will not be disappointed.

This book gives step by step instructions for recipes, and injects humor into the directions, which is fun. Some of the ingredients are different from what I'm used to (I'm a vegetarian, but not vegan), so it was really interesting to see the substitutions that can be made for dairy or eggs. Some of the recipes are time-consuming, so for those, I just take a Saturday and make it a "cooking day."

The baked onion rings are an absolute hit at our house - even among the meat-eaters and "I could never be a vegan" eaters. The zesty "ranch" dip tastes more like a cashew hummus but with ranch notes to it, so we use it not only for salad but also for a veggie dip or on crackers.

Still have so many more recipes to try, but I'm hooked on trying as many as possible.

While the recipes so far are yummy my big complaint is that it's time consuming and some of the recipes are misleading as far as time to make. I came home from work and started dinner at 5 but realized half way into the recipe I had to make tofu chèvre and that is a2-3h process bc u have to chill it. At least I remembered to soak the raw cashews this time .... Which is another hour. Also like every section recipe calls for food processor so there is a lot of rinsing etc but I use a mini one so not too bad.
Update I just retread the recipe and sure enough it says at the top in italic "does not include prep time rogue chèvre" but still when you're busy and look recipe quick you may not notice all these.

I love this cookbook! Very fun recipes in here, and they actually fill you up. I am not 100% vegan, but do try to eat vegetarian and vegan as much as possible. Love these recipes and the veggie burger was delicious!

Some of the recipes are a bit complicated and have ingredients that I can't find, like nutritional yeast (but I live in Portugal). Although, the recipes are very creative and I have tried some of them that I really liked! Its a really good motivation for those who are thinking about going vegan or simply those who are interested in learning more about vegan cooking. Besides this it's fun to read some of the subtitles because they're all things we say about veganism: "Where would I get my protein?", "Where's the beef?" and "You can't bake without butter or eggs!".
Kristy Turner proves that there are a lot of alternatives to animal products and that they're all tasty as well!

Great recipes. A little more extensive than some others I've looked at, but I like that it has recipes for sauces, cheeses, and other vegan staples that are hard to find in stores (and expensive). We've already made several recipes from this book and have enjoyed them all.

Awesome cookbook. The only downside is that some of the recipes either require specialty ingredients (eg. Kelp granules) but plenty of the recipes are easily accessible. The food is super delicious and has lots of hearty options in my book.

I had been following Kristy Turner's blog, Keepin It Kind, for a short while before I heard about this book that she was releasing. I asked for it for Christmas, and my brother-in-law got it for me. I really love it! I am already vegan, so I didn't need to be convinced that good vegan food is out there, but this book blew my mind a little bit anyway. One of the first recipes I tried was a her broccoli-cheddar soup. It's healthy because the base is made from chickpeas! low fat, high in fiber and protein - so much healthier than a dairy-based cream. Another favorite recipe of mine is the potato-leek pizza. Oh my gosh, it's out of this world. I made it for me and my husband one day at his family's make-your-own-pizza night, and his family started gobbling it up, not realizing it was the "vegan" pizza. They didn't even miss the cheese.

I know that the recipes should be my favorite part about this book, but what honestly drew me to it in the first place was the design. I'm always drawn to a well-designed book, and this one is no disappointment. There are pictures for almost every single recipe in the book, and even a few smaller pictures that show you how to complete the recipe. The layout and design are just so eye-catching. The matte cover is beautiful. I've brought it along to my parents' house, and they will pick it up to browse through it, just because it's *that* good to look at.

In general, her foods are comfort-foods (in my opinion) - burgers, pizzas, etc. They are all certainly healthy, and they are also really unique, but when people look at the picture, they *get* it. I think this would be a great gift to somebody who is open to the idea of eating more vegetarian and vegan meals, or for the already-vegan like me!

If you are not a vegan or transitioning - you will LOVE this book. Literally, she breaks down the content to appeal to every eater that is transitioning to vegan, from her recommendations on cheese to Pescatarian. This book is really amazing.

As a vegetarian leaning vegan, I thought this book might help me bridge the gap and become a more healthy vegan. I have no doubt these recipes are delicious, but they are terribly unhealthy. I wouldn't buy this if you are Vegan for health purposes. The book is large and beautiful with nice pictures, so I did give it 2 stars for presentation.

Excellent recipes - food you can confidently serve your non-vegan family members and friends. Humorous and entertaining as well! My non-vegan husband got a kick out of it. I'm glad I bought this book.
